Plant 13 is open 7 days a week from 7am to 4pm (kitchen closes at 3pm) and Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm.

Plant 13 is the proud entrance to Bowden’s new cosmopolitan redevelopment where we offer our guests a unique dining experience that is compelling, enriching and nourishing for both the palate and the soul.

The rich history of our bricks and mortar dates back to 1901 where industrial workers of bygone eras would gather to share a story over a drink or two and to share a meal. The old Clipsal site housed numerous industrial plants, numbered 1-12 and then skipping to numbers 14-18. Never was there a thirteenth site due to the superstition surrounding the number. As such, our Federation style building became known affectionately as “Plant 13″.

Southern hospitality and artisanal food practices are not just a passion at Plant 13, they’re a way of life for the staff and its owners. We try to make all our guests feel special and our aim is to become Adelaide’s premium destination for high-quality, affordable dining; a place where friends both new and old can gather over an exceptional wine or a perfect coffee both day and night.

We believe food tells a story and ours begins with the garden out back. That’s where we grow the vegetables that grace your plate. We make our own smallgoods, smoke our own meats, and bake our own breads. And if you had any doubts about the black magic in the kitchen, we knocked down the walls so you can see right in. Respect for our produce and a love for our community drives us to excel in what we do.

We are Plant 13.
